The grapes are hand-harvested in the Hidaspetre Valley and manually selected before undergoing a 14-day temperature-controlled fermentation at 25°C. The wine then matures for 15 months in used oak barrels – half in large 1,500-litre casks and half in 500-litre barrels. The restrained use of seasoned oak preserves the purity of the Kékfrankos while adding structure and complexity.
