Purple-red with light garnet reflections, Vulcana offers expressive aromas of wild blackberry, plum and cherry, followed by delicate spicy notes of pepper. On the palate, it is well-structured, smooth and warm, with silky tannins and a long, persistent finish. Generous fruit and spice make it an excellent partner for hearty meat dishes, while its balance also makes it enjoyable on its own.
The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are harvested and vinified separately to preserve the individual character of each variety. The grapes undergo temperature-controlled maceration and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel before the wines rest for at least six months. Following sensory evaluation, the final blend is determined and matured in oak barrels, typically for four to six months, depending on the development of the wine. After bottling, Vulcana rests for a further minimum of six months before release, allowing the fruit, tannins and oak character to integrate harmoniously.
