Fordítás, meaning “turning over”, is a traditional Tokaj speciality produced since 1826. After making Aszú, fresh must or new wine is poured over the remaining Aszú berries. Following maceration and pressing, the resulting wine is matured in oak and is sometimes described as a “secondary Aszú.” This 2008 Fordítás was aged for 15 months in oak barrels followed by 11 years in bottle and was released in April 2021.
