What is “Fordítás” (Turning Over)?
It is a special variety of wine produced in Tokaj since 1826. After preparing the “Aszú”, more must or new wine is poured over the remaining raisins, then – following maceration and pressing – it is matured in oak casks for at least 1 year. It is also known as “secondary Aszú”.
The wine aged 15 months in oak barrels and 11 years in bottles, then released in April of 2021.
