Vida Petit Bonsai Kadarka is a fresh, joyful and elegant Kadarka from Szekszárd, Hungary, produced from a young vineyard planted with a clonal selection originating from the winery’s exceptional 100-year-old Kadarka vines. Vibrant red fruit, delicate spice and refreshing lightness make it a charming, youthful expression of this historic Hungarian grape. Grape Variety: 100% Kadarka – clonal selection from the winery’s 100-year-old vines Country: Hungary Region: Szekszárd Appellation: Szekszárd PDO Wine Type: Dry red wine Alcohol: 13.0% vol. Vineyard: Young plantation Harvest: Hand-harvested with manual bunch selection Fermentation: 10 days at low, controlled temperature Ageing: 8 months in stainless steel Serving Temperature: 16–17°C Style: Fresh, fruity, lively & elegant Clear purple in colour, Petit Bonsai bursts with strawberry, raspberry and black cherry, both on the nose and palate. A touch of pepper and fresh mint adds lift and complexity. Juicy, vibrant and effortlessly charming, it combines youthful fruit with the characteristic spicy elegance of Kadarka. Petit Bonsai has a special connection to Vida’s celebrated Bonsai Kadarka. While Bonsai comes from approximately 100-year-old vines, Petit Bonsai is produced from a young vineyard planted with a clonal selection taken from those historic vines, preserving their genetic heritage for the next generation. The grapes are hand-harvested and manually selected, followed by a 10-day low-temperature fermentation and eight months of ageing in stainless steel to preserve freshness and pure fruit expression. If Bonsai represents the mature, profound and complex side of Kadarka, Petit Bonsai is its youthful counterpart – lively, playful and full of energy.
