Passocroce is born in an ideal location for cultivating Lagrein, in the Cembra estates on the eastern slope of the historic Doss Caslìr site. Manual harvest during the third ten days of September, followed by destemming and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on the lees for about 18 months in 225-litre French oak barriques, then bottle-aged for approximately 6 months before release.

It is a structured and elegant wine with a ruby red color, offering aromas of wild berries (redcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry) accompanied by hints of star anise, cocoa, and tobacco.
With time in the bottle, it develops aromas reminiscent of violet, and at times, lilac and sage.
