Extended skin maceration followed by ageing in clay amphorae, oak and acacia creates a complex, structured and gastronomic wine with freshness, subtle tannins and a distinctive saline character. Grape Varieties: 50% Verdejo, 50% Viognier Country: Spain Region: Rueda Vintage: 2022 Wine Type: Orange wine / Skin-contact white wine Alcohol: 13.7% vol. On the palate, it is elegant and structured, with refreshing acidity, a distinctive saline touch and subtle tannic grip. It combines the freshness and aromatic character of a white wine with the additional texture and structure created by extended skin contact. As the first orange wine produced by Valdecuevas, this cuvée explores a different expression of Verdejo and Viognier. The grapes remain in contact with their skins for 30 days before pressing and ferment at 15°C. The wine then matures for 12 months in a combination of clay amphorae, oak and acacia vats, bringing together fruit purity, texture and complexity. Its combination of acidity, structure and gentle tannins makes it an exceptionally versatile gastronomic wine.
