Pinot Blanc, a member of the extensive and popular Pinot family, is the sibling of Pinot Gris. While it is most significant in Alsace and Germany, it is found in many regions worldwide. In Hungary, it thrives on 230 hectares, predominantly in the Tolna region. Typically producing a light to medium-bodied wine with a beautiful backbone of acidity, it is often recognized by its aroma reminiscent of hazelnuts or hazel twigs. It is also frequently marketed under the names White Burgundy or Weissburgunder.
