Grape variety: Sangiovese Grosso
Unexpected and impessive. Red wine made in a typically white wine region, an Italian grape variety grown in Hungary, a variety that is an extremely late ripening therefore the crop must be strictly controlled. But if we look behind the scenes and go into the details we can see and understand that it's quite straightforward that Sangiovese feels good on the St. George-hill: Southern slopes, more sunny hours than in Tuscany and volcanic soil. 2HA Vineyard and Winery was the first one cultivating it in Hungary.
This wine is not for drinking young. It needs time to show its beauty and real character. Huge ageing potential.
