Grape variety: Tinta de Toro
Sourced from 80-year old un-grafted vines growing in sandy soils containing ancient river pebbles.
Temperature controlled alcoholic fermentation at 28ºC with skin contact for 24 days in 1200-litre French oak vat. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels (225-litre) for 2 months.
Ageing: 20 months in new, medium toasted French barrique.
Deep garnet colour with violet rim. Balsamic, inky notes on the nose enveloping the fresh varietal character of the Tinta de Toro grape. Round, balanced, silky on the palate with notes of aromatic herbs , cocoa and dark fruits with a long finish.
Serving temperature: 14ºC -16ºC
