Open-cellar weekends are Switzerland's invitation to look behind the label. In Ticino, they led us through Sopraceneri—the canton's northern wine landscape—from Brissago to Valle Maggia. We met familiar faces from EHL who had joined my masterclass a month earlier, discovered compelling wines and heard the real stories behind them. Our route moved from artisan cellars to high-tech visionary estates: Giromit, Garzoli Vini, Il Cavaliere, Cantina Mondó and Tenuta Sasso Chierico. Different philosophies, one thing in common: every estate is family-run.
On 18 September, taste the selection we brought home. Swiss wine deserves to be explored—and we love sharing the hunt.
