THE GRAPES HISTORY ALMOST ERASED - WINE TASTING
What does Kék Bajor taste like? Or Budai Vörös, Lisztes, Vörös Dinka, Hajnos Kék and Tarcali Kék? These are not inventions. They are fragments of Hungarian wine history that came close to disappearing. Winemaker József Szentesi searched 19th-century books, tracked down forgotten vine material and brought old Hungarian varieties back into the vineyard and the glass.
On 11 September, we taste the result: rare indigenous grapes most wine lovers have never encountered, alongside his distinctive wines from international varieties. Come curious. Leave with six new names on your wine map—and a story worth retelling.
