Passocroce is produced exclusively from Lagrein, one of the distinctive indigenous red grape varieties of Northern Italy. The grapes come from the historic Doss Caslìr vineyards and are harvested by hand. The wine then matures for 18 months in French oak barriques, followed by an additional six months of bottle ageing. This extended maturation allows the fruit, spice and oak-derived complexity to integrate, while revealing the sophisticated and age-worthy character of Lagrein.
