Morellone is made of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese grapes grown in the area of Ripatransone (Piceno DOC) in Marche, Italy. The soil of the vineyard is loose with the presence of limestone at the altitude of 280 m.
The grapes are picked and collected in bins, maceration in 60 hl oak vats for 6-10 days. Refining and malolactic fermentation in barrique from 20 to 24 months plus one year in steel tank. Minimum 3 months refining in bottle.
The result is a dark ruby red wine with ripe red fruit aromas, and spicy fragrance.
